The Legal Metrology Unit offers weights and measures verification and inspection services as per the requirements of the weights & measures Act and Regulations of Seychelles. All weights, weighing and measuring instruments used in commercial transactions must have a valid Certificate of Approval issued by the Bureau of Standards. The Legal Metrology Services covers initial verifications and re-verifications of weighing instruments, mass, length measures, control of pre-packed goods and fuel dispensing pump.
