Seychelles Bureau of Standards aims at strengthening the economy of the country and the quality of life of the Seychellois by promoting quality and standardisation. The standardisation division of the Seychelles Bureau of Standards has therefore been mandated under the SBS Act to develop national standards and to make provision for their declaration, distribution, monitoring and promotion.
The bureau has to date declared five Seychelles standards as mandatory standards. The mandatory Seychelles standards are listed below:

A number of Seychelles Standards have also been made reference to in various other national legislations, making them mandatory. The implementation of these standards is carried out by the respective authorities.
